Spotlight: Four-time C&D winner (arguably unlucky not to make it five latest) who's enjoyed a good season; up to a career-high mark now, though, and today's surface will work more in the favour of others (withdrawn several times on account of soft/heavy ground).

Spotlight: Consistent 3yo who's proven competitive off her revised mark since a Thirsk win (5f, good to soft) off 8lb lower in July; this is stronger, though, and Connor Beasley, who's often ridden her, partners Emeralds Pride.

Spotlight: Long time since he won on turf and isn't as good now but remains consistent given his age; nothing wrong with his latest Haydock second off 2lb lower but has been taken out several times on account of good to soft or slower ground in the past.

Spotlight: Arrives in fine form, having just been edged out of it on Tapeta four weeks ago under Warren Fentiman, but also off a career-high mark; may be the one to lead up the far rail from stall 2 if that's been the trend to this point.

Spotlight: Dual heavy-ground winner whose York victory for Jack Channon in spring 2024 came off a 7lb higher mark; no luck in running last time and is dangerously handicapped now; one to consider.

Spotlight: Last five wins have come over a stiff 5f, including C&D, and he's well treated now; looked an unlucky loser at Sandown last Friday, running on ground slower than good for the first time this year, and holds fair claims.

Spotlight: Made it 2-3 over C&D, on his second run back from a second round of wind surgery, when going in from the same stall off 4lb lower 18 days ago; evidently well suited by fast ground and now has to prove he's as good in these conditions into a better race.

Spotlight: Won this in 2022 (soft) and last year (good to firm) for a yard (saddles Tiriac too) that also had the winner in 2020; bit higher in the weights this time but ran well enough in Listed company here last time to think she has a chance of making it 4-8 over C&D.

Spotlight: Proved hard to place last year but has found his level again this time; disappointing effort as favourite behind two of these in the first-time tongue-tie (retained) at Haydock but is on an attractive mark now and soft ground suits.

Spotlight: Pulled away his chances at Windsor in July but didn't look to have any excuses in a first-time hood (retained) behind Alligator Alley last time; can hang left and is some way down the pecking order.

Spotlight: Lightly raced 3yo who returns from a two-month break having last been seen finishing comfortably held behind Brazilian Belle at Thirsk; this stiffer 5f will suit but he'll need a deal more into a tougher handicap.

Spotlight: Below par in two runs in the spring and is having a first crack at 5f back from four months off; tended to be all or nothing to date and others have more pressing claims; yard also responsible for Stash The Cash.

Spotlight: Dual winner this time last year (good to soft/soft) who's spent most of the season running on faster ground than ideal, the last twice in cheekpieces; well treated now if he can bounce back but David Allan has opted for Act Of Violence.
