Spotlight: Progressive sprinter for Mark Usher; down the field in the Ayr Gold Cup on his stable debut last September but he was back on the up with a comfortable Newcastle success six weeks ago (5f; ridden by Tom Marquand); although visually impressive (good Topspeed figure too), the form has taken some knocks and he will need another career best if he is to defy a 7lb rise.

Spotlight: Ex-Italian sprinter; nibbled at big prices prior to his smooth C&D win on stable debut 17 days ago; this is a stronger race and he is now 6lb higher, but he did look good.

Spotlight: Prominent racer; thumped ten rivals in a C&D handicap last July and ran well off his revised mark (1lb lower today) back here in September; found the Group 1 Abbaye too hot to handle when last seen in October; won after a break last spring but he was well ahead of his mark then and that probably isn't the case now.

Spotlight: Ended 2025 with a pair of C&D wins; came up just shy in his hat-trick bid in January; respectable third here 17 days ago but he was left trailing in Gaeli's wake on that occasion.

Spotlight: Ended 2025 on the up and he improved again when second in the Listed Hever Stakes at Lingfield four weeks ago; a 3lb rise demands extra but this speedy sort shouldn't be discounted.

Spotlight: Four wins and a second from his five AW starts (the defeat came in his one C&D run); landed a Listed win on turf in Germany last summer; sold out of Archie Watson's stable for 37,000gns in October; this mark not beyond him if ready to go after six months off; cheekpieces the headgear of choice today; one of four runners for Robert Cowell.

Spotlight: Two C&D wins last year and he is a reliable sprinter in the main; no match for his stablemate Fahrenheit Seven at Newcastle six weeks ago and it would be surprising if a few of these weren't better handicapped.

Spotlight: Four wins in 2025, notably a Group 3 at Dundalk in October; struggled in two runs in the Middle East this year and he is 4lb higher than when second in last summer's Dash at Epsom, his most recent run in a handicap.

Spotlight: High-class sprinter on turf and AW; his two C&D wins have both been mighty performances and there is no doubt he has the raw ability to give the weight away to today's opponents; sadly he has become a nightmare at the start, refusing to race in three of his last five runs; can't be supported with confidence; stable run four here.

Spotlight: Multiple winner down the years and he is 3lb lower than when second over C&D last September; first time out perhaps not the time to catch him though.

Spotlight: She made a winning seasonal debut in a Class 3 handicap over C&D 12 months ago; found some improvement in the second half of that campaign, including a Listed win in France last August (5f, good); looks high in the weights ahead of her return to action.

Spotlight: C&D winner as a 2yo; blinkers prompted some progress last summer, winning 6f handicaps at Windsor and Ascot; ended that campaign with a lesser effort on testing ground at Doncaster but he appeals as the type to enjoy another good year as a 4yo; needs luck in running and wouldn't want to leave himself with too much to do (has missed the break in the past).
